I'm about to run off and do a bunch of stuff, but before I do I'd like to extend my gratefulness to everyone for their gracious comments about DR_SPIN.

It really puts my mind at ease to think about these things.

I've had no comments or feedback on The Adventures of DR_SPIN since I've finished it (beyond two or three people I've cornered in RL, and the two comments on Facebook). Not even an "I don't get it".

There was a time when I didn't even have to ask to get feedback on my work.

It's really hard not to extrapolate all sorts of unreasonable things from this silence. The more professional thing to do is to shrug and move on. I want to try to do that, but I care just enough about this one project to solicit for feedback one more time.

Come on guys, what do you think of it? Is it embarrassingly bad or something?

I’m seriously thinking about a sequel to The Adventures of DR_SPIN.

I have some pretty solid good ideas for where it should go next.

However, I’m not entirely sure how DR_SPIN comes off to other people. I know a few people who’ve really enjoyed the comic, but I haven’t had many comments now that it is complete. And I’m still too close to it to be able to judge if it is a well paced story or not.

It really doesn’t take long to read, and please do not be shy with any questions. I don’t mind explaining the story, and I won’t be appalled if you don’t understand any part of it. It would be pretty easy to add, remove or alter any pages if I need to, so any and all feedback really helps.

Thank you!

See if you can recognize the players apparent on this page. The previous page featured two famous individuals, at least one of which was listed on an earlier page... In any case, I'm not squawking, ever.

This page was drawn entirely using The Contraption.

Finally.

This one isn't the cop out it looks like. I just couldn't think of any way to make it prettier. It's an important part of the story.

This is the one. This is where the story hinges. Nothing will be the same after this one. Also, the book is immanent!

If it looks like you forgot to put your glasses on, that's because Commander Larsen's hand was understandably shaking when he took this photo.

Some people have told me that this is their favorite comic of mine.

Well, I won't disappoint, I don't think. While only 32 pages long, it's going to end well. And then I'm going to publish it through LuLu.com in full color with hard back binding (the only way it'll be printed, mind you). And it looks like that book is going to have to have some extra pages in it and I've got a really cool idea for that. And then I'll think about working on a sequel.

Anyway, I've got the next six pages drawn up and ready to scan. After that, it's another six pages, a chapter of the story which might be titled "You've got red on you."

... you've got to start somewhere:

I seem to have achieved the first step -- Family and friends don't let me know when my hair is messy anymore.

Eventually, my age will catch up with my attitude.

There is a new issue of It's Easy up, by the way!

I am also printing out templates for Harmless Free Radicals right now. I have three months worth of that comic planned out.

Today's schedule looks something like this:

1. Eat a goddamn apple
2. Cut, Pencil and Letter Wednesday's HFR
3. Cut and Pencil Wednesday's It's Easy
4. Scan & upload tomorrows DR_SPIN
5. Handle business emails
6. Go to the B.S. of Comics by 5pm, hang out there until wife drags me home.
