That is, if the rest of the band approves.

The skulls, for instance, are just copied from images out of a google search. I’d have to redraw them, basically. But they also aren’t placed with any sort of good balance, so they also need shuffling… Also, I’d like to add detail to the outline of the gorilla wall.

A little while ago, a friend of mine pointed out that we really need to refine the Sir Reg band logo. I finally had sort of an idea of where to go with it this morning:

It needs more Rock ‘n Roll, though. I feel that the lettering is right about where it needs to be, but there is some work we did on a version of the album cover that I need to dig up and incorporate into this. Mostly, it has to do with colors and detail in the shield. But that file is on my laptop that doesn’t work very well. I’ll post it when I get it incorporated into the whole.

The next step after that is to play with placement of the logo on various poster, sticker, album cover, mug, T-Shirt and website designs. At that point, I’ll be open to critique.

I've spent the last two weeks making sure every other channel we use has got the news. Now, just to make sure, I'm posting here.

Sir Reginold Cosgrove & His Nighttime Singers have a gig tonight at the Green Frog Acoustic Tavern, at 9pm.

Please do come down, have a fine beer and enjoy the show! This place has been one of the best venues for their music, and it's a delight to hear it there. But more importantly, Sir Reg has been working on their full length album and it's nearly done, and the only thing standing in the way of it getting printed is a couple hundred bucks.

If enough people buy T-Shirts and the two CDs the band has already produced, we could be seeing the new music out by the end of October! And you know the new CD is going to include Gorilla Wall...

Speaking of favorite songs, I should remind you that the latest CD was produced at popular request to include a bad-ass recording of Go! Go!! Go!! (the Roller Betties' song). You can take a listen at the website.

For those of you who are new and may not know, Sir Reg is my wife's band and an inspiration for my artwork. I'm making them a comic, even.

I’m still not used to drawing in a crowd, standing up, let alone in the dusk. I probably should have gone ahead and used a pen, so I could see what I was doing better. Maybe I should invest in an LED book lamp that I could clip to my drawing board.

I’m thinking about what I should post to this blog. Should it be every drawing I do? Or should it be only the good ones?

I suspect I’ll become more discerning as I get more productive.

Due to production issues, I may have to put It's Easy on hiatus for the next week. It'll be back July 6.

I have the comic scripted out through August right now, with ideas that should last through December and a plot that should take us through a whole year of comics! I just have a problem with the way that I've been producing the comic.

Anyway, I might have a breakthrough today. We'll know for sure on Monday, when either the hiatus sign goes up, or the new comic.

I seem to have achieved the first step -- Family and friends don't let me know when my hair is messy anymore.

Eventually, my age will catch up with my attitude.

I am also printing out templates for Harmless Free Radicals right now. I have three months worth of that comic planned out.

Today's schedule looks something like this:

1. Eat a goddamn apple
2. Cut, Pencil and Letter Wednesday's HFR
3. Cut and Pencil Wednesday's It's Easy
4. Scan & upload tomorrows DR_SPIN
5. Handle business emails
6. Go to the B.S. of Comics by 5pm, hang out there until wife drags me home.

Thank you, echodanials! You will be inserted into one of my comics by mid July, probably sooner!

For the rest of you, I shall be attending the B.S. of Comics as usual today, working on the next page of Harmless Free Radicals.

After which, I will then be attending the Bellingham Roller Betties' bout tonight, where Sir Reginold Cosgrove & His Nighttime Singers will be playing.

I am now about to introduce two characters who's appearances are very loosely based on Matt Damon and Corey Feldman.

I needed a white hat and his greaser buddy. Sorta.

Their names and personalities, however, come from somewhere else...

5. Put some more ink down on the Awesome Commission
6. Script next Wednesday's HFR...

7. Gotta crack some PHP code, dammit (probably Friday, though)

My god, I'm frustrated with my own cartooning right now. It's so rough and ugly. Of course, I'm using a new media, so this is definitely to be expected.

But I know I can pull off better work than this! I just need to figure out how to do it with more regularity.

Anyway, I'm coloring today's page of It's Easy right now! So, the story continues.

However, I'm dropping it down to M-W-F so that I can release two strips at a time. This'll mean the site is updated less, but the comic will move faster! Also, it'll be easier to read.
